Follow the path of the Royal Canal Greenway eastwards to the college town of Maynooth with super spots to stop off along the way like Killucan, Hill of down, Enfield, Kilcock or maybe consider staying overnight in Maynooth and returning the next day for a 2 day trip

Royal Canal Greenway west 65km
Follow the path of the Royal Canal Greenway west where it meets the Shannon River at the village of Clondra in Co. Longford with towns along the way of Ballynacarrigy, Abbeyshrule, Ballymahon or why not follow the 8km greenway branch off into the centre of Longford Town

Old Rail Trail Greenway Athlone 42km
Follow the path of the historic old disused Railway line to Athlone Town with beautiful old disused railway stations along the way with stop offs in Castletown, Streamstown, & Moate or why not stay overnight in Athlone and make it a fun 2 day trip!!
