All You Need to Know

Can we drop off our bikes at different locations along the Greenway ?

No we do not drop off or collect bikes along the Greenway (this is only available for groups of 10 plus persons by pre arrangement)

Do you provide passenger transport ?

No we do not provide passenger transport

Do You Provide Helmets ?

Yes helmets are required and provided with all our hired bikes, no helmet / no hire

What happens if i get a flat or have a mechanical problem ?

In the event you get a flat or mechanical problem during your rental, first get to a safe area and dismount the bike. Next, we ask you call us and we will advise of next steps to get you back on the road or trail. Packing a mobile phone and putting the rental shop number in your contact list is recommended for all bike renters.

What should i wear ?

Weather can be unpredictable so we encourage you be prepared. It is encourages all riders bring some sort of rain gear/wind breaker in the event of a shower.

Do you supply locks and panniers bags

Yes if available on the day

Do You Need to make a reservation in advanced ?

We recommend booking in advanced as during busy days we can make sure we have your bike available and ready for you.

Do you hire trailers and child seats for kids ?

Yes we hire kids trailers and child seats for up to age 5 years approx.

Do you hire tandems ?

Yes our 20'' fun tandems are suitable for 2x adults or 1x adult and 1 x child from 6 years plus.

What additional needs bikes do you hire ?

We have 24" wheeled electric trike, 20'' Tandems, Buddy bike and Electric Cargo Bike which will seat 1x adult or 3 x kids pre booking is required.

Do You provide large group hire with pick up and drop off at different locations ?

Yes we have a large fleet and can cater for groups of up to 70 adults with standard or Electric Bikes and can offer drop off and collection in Athlone / Enfield / Maynooth etc pre booking only.

Do you advise on different cycle routes and provide maps ?

Yes we provide free maps and advise on best routes.

Is there free parking and toilets available ?

Yes we offer free parking and toilets at our location.

What are your opening hours
We are open:
  • Mid May to Mid Sept
  • Monday to Saturday 10am till 5pm
  • Sunday & Bank Holidays 12noon till 5pm
  • all other times of the year by pre arranged appointment.
Can i Hire for half a day

Yes if bikes are available on the day, Mon to Sat only, you can hire after 2pm price for e bikes are reduced to €30, standard bikes €20, Teens 12 to 16 years €15, children 6 to 12 years €10.

What happens if it is to wet or windy for cycling ?

We can change your booking to another day or if booked online we can refund you minus your booking fee.

Do you take card payment

Yes we take credit or debit card payment but not revolut

Do you do Guided group bike hire

Yes we do guided group bike hire on our Lough Owel greenway cycle route pre booking only min of 4 persons.

Are you close to the Train / Bus Station and the centre of the town

We are 10 mins walk from Mullingar Train and Bus Station (on the Dublin / Sligo train line) and 10 mins from the centre of the town.
