Discover Our Story
We are a family run business Alan & Hilary and our 4 kids, we are all involved from cleaning bikes to servicing them, answering your queries, phone calls, emails, advising on best routes to cycle on the Greenway, best places to stay or eat and your next activity to do when you are in the Irelands Hidden Heartlands ( we are like a mini tourist office just ask us !! )
We all have a massive passion for the outdoors, fitness and cycling, we cycle, run and swim daily before work ( Sometimes too much !! ), we are members of our local cycling, athletic and triathlon clubs so we understand first hand what the benefits of regular outdoor physical activity can bring to mind and body.
In 2015 we noticed a shift in peoples outdoor cycling/ walking / running activity with the opening of a short 5km stretch of Greenway on The Royal Canal around Mullingar, this is when we started to offer guests the opportunity the hire a bike from us to cycle the greenway but also very important to us was to make sure that our fleet would be a fully inclusive fleet so that everyone was included and everyone got the chance to cycle our Greenways.
Since then the greenway has expanded to 180km of traffic free greenway with 3 directions to travel on it which it has been awarded European greenway of the year, it has been our pleasure to welcome Guests from each corner of the world, from individuals, Family groups, Corporate Groups, School Groups, Birthday Parties, Bus Tours, Hen / Stag parties.
Our fleet has expanded to over 100 bikes to suit all, with Standard Adults bikes, Electric, Kids, Trailers, Child Seats, Tandems, Additional Needs Bikes, Trikes, Kids Cargo, Trailer Tents we have it all, what we have seen and created is a opportunity for our guests to spend precious time with there family and friends away from screens, phones and the hussel and bussel of life with a chance to engaged, chat and most importantly laugh and have a fun experience day out.
We see this when our guests return to us with happy smiley faces and this sure make us happy to see, we bring with us over 30 years in customer service in retail Cycling / Triathlon shops with Alan starting out helping out in his family Bike shop in Clonard the 80s and now manager of Electric Bike Store Greenaer Mullingar.
Because of all of this we have a huge passion for what we do and our attention to detail and knowledge for our area is outstanding, so when you ring, email or call in for a chat you are dealing with us as a family we have listened and learned so much from our customers and just love the conversation, maybe this is some of the reasons we have been awarded Bike Hire of the Year Ireland for the 3rd year and our 5th Trip Advisor Choice Awards ?, but sure we will let you decide for yourselfs!!
